BIOGRAPHY
With a background as a film theory academic, Chiara trained as a practitioner at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and The Edit Center in New York City.
She was one of the Berlinale Talents at the 2018 Berlin International Film Festival, during which she was also selected for the Editing Lab supervised by Lars Von Trier’s editor Molly Malene Stensgaard.
Chiara is a member of BAFTA Crew for the year 2020/21.
Her debut as a film editor was on Phillip Warnell’s documentary feature Ming of Harlem: 21 Storeys in the Air. The recipient of the Award Prix Georges De Beauregard at FID Marseille, the film travelled the festival circuit widely (including the New York Film Festival, IDFA, CPH:DOX, and VIFF Vancouver). Since then, Chiara has worked on a variety of short and feature-length dramas
and documentaries, including the Grierson Award nominated short The Scarecrows, directed by Dan Hodgson, and RAY, a video-art narrative drama directed by Turner prize winner Richard Billingham.
She is represented in the UK by Lucie LLewellyn Associates.
